Head of Sales

Head of Sales Job Description
We trade with customers of all sizes from the major High Street accounts across key accounts as well as independents.
The Head of Sales will be responsible for leading and developing the sales team, introducing key marketing and sales strategies designed to drive the business forward. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales leader looking for a new challenge and offers the chance to build a sales team and proposition.
It is essential that the Head of Sales has experience of directly managing major accounts as well as leading a sales team. Some knowledge of the health and wellbeing category would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will share our ambition, will be driven and with the energy and focus to take the business to the next level.

Shape and lead the specialist sales team to deliver profitable growth

Direct and lead the team
Create compelling sales story that grows existing customers and unlocks new customers
Create and execute channel strategies
Manage major accounts to ensure we unlock new major retail distribution
Manages and maintains budgets
Delivers then exceeds sales targets
Is aware of market dynamics and keeps abreast of market developments
Is an active leader who leads from the front

Skills and experience
Proven sales leadership
A track record of delivering profitable growth
P&L understanding
Effective team management
Experience in major account management
High impact people skills
